The Alliance Digitale (formerly IAB France and Mobile Marketing Association France), the Syndicat des Régies Internet (SRI), and the Union des Entreprises de Conseil et d'Achat Média (Udecam), later joined by the Groupement des Éditeurs de Services en Ligne (Geste) welcome the recent decision by the Competition Authority, which condemned Apple for its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. This decision marks an important victory for the online media and advertising ecosystem, deemed discriminatory and contrary to the principles of the GDPR and ePrivacy. The Authority recognized that Apple had imposed unjust restrictions on app publishers while favoring its own closed ecosystem, thus creating a substantial competitive advantage. The involved associations remain engaged and encourage affected companies to explore available remedies.
